GRAB BAR DEEP CHANNEL TRASH REMOVAL SCREEN GRS - Coarse Bar Screen for the Protection of Pump Stations and Fine Screens
These coarse screens are built to remove large debris from deep channels in hard‑to‑reach locations. The system uses a stationary bar screen at the channel bottom to capture material, with no need for a channel recess. The bar screen is connected via rails to the discharge equipment located above the channel. A specialised Grab shovel collects debris at the bottom and transports it to discharge.
The shovel has rake teeth and works like a reciprocating rake bar screen. A rotary selector switch controls the rake position. At the discharge point above the operating floor, a pivoting scraper releases debris from the Grab screen. Material can be dropped into a container, conveyor, washer‑compactor, and similar equipment. The Grab screen is raised and lowered by a stainless‑steel cable.
